The "No Time To Die" Seamaster is one of the more difficult references to replicate. Grade 2 titanium case and mesh bracelet, a tropical brown aluminum bezel, and a no-date 8806 movement. Most versions on the market got at least one of the three wrong: steel instead of titanium, the wrong bezel color, or a decorated 2824 instead of an integrated movement.
VSF Watch's latest iteration uses a V4 titanium mesh bracelet, a V3 color-corrected bezel, and the Dandong 8800/8806 movement. Here's how each part measures up.
1. V4 titanium mesh bracelet
Earlier versions of the NTTD rep used stainless steel for the mesh bracelet. Steel weighs more than titanium, which threw off the balance of the watch — the bracelet was heavy, the case was light, and the whole thing sat wrong on the wrist.
The V4 bracelet is Grade 2 titanium. On a scale, it comes in at 37.30 grams. Gen is 37.99 grams. That's a 0.69-gram difference, close enough that nobody is going to feel it. The old steel version weighed 56.49 grams, which is an 18.50-gram difference from the gen. You felt it immediately.
The mesh itself is a 16-column longitudinal weave. The individual titanium links need to interlock cleanly without binding or pinching during articulation. VSF's CNC machining on the V4 holds the tolerances tight enough that the bracelet flexes smoothly and doesn't catch arm hair. The sliding fold-over clasp has the correct engraving depth and brushed titanium finish.

2. V3 tropical bezel
The bezel insert is anodized aluminum in a tropical brown that's meant to look like aged vintage patina. Getting the color right requires matching both the saturation and the matte finish. Earlier V1 and V2 versions were too light, too reflective, or had a yellow undertone that read as wrong next to gen.
The V3 insert was developed from a colorimetric scan of a gen bezel. The result is a muted dark cocoa brown with the correct matte, non-reflective surface. Under direct light, it doesn't turn glossy or shift color. The faux-patina lume on the bezel numerals matches the dial indices without going too orange, which was a problem on V1/V2.
3. Movement: Dandong 8800/8806
The old approach was a decorated ETA 2824 with cosmetic plates. The 2824 is 25.9mm in diameter. Gen Omega 8806 is 26.5mm. That 0.6mm difference forced spacer rings inside the case, which affected long-term stability. The decorative plates had non-functional gears and jewels glued on top.
VSF Watch integrated Dandong movement measures 26.5mm, matching the gen. No spacer rings needed. The transmission gears are functional rather than cosmetic, and the jewel bearings actually support rotating pinions instead of just sitting there for appearance. The balance wheel has the correct black coating. The arabesque Geneva waves radiate from the center of the movement, the way gen does. On the no-date 8806 version, the ghost date position on the crown is handled correctly — counter-clockwise rotation, same as gen.
4. Power reserve
The Dandong mainspring barrel delivers about 52 hours on a full wind. Gen Omega 8806 is rated at 55 hours. That's 94.5% of gen spec, and the 3-hour gap doesn't matter in practice. The old decorated 2824 ran about 41 hours, which meant the watch died if you left it off for a day and a half.

Bottom line: The three things that made previous NTTD reps hard to recommend were the heavy steel bracelet, the wrong bezel color, and the decorated 2824 movement. The V4 titanium bracelet and V3 bezel fix the first two. The Dandong 8800/8806 fixes the third.
If you're buying, the weight is the easiest thing to verify. Have the seller put the bracelet on a scale. 37 grams means titanium. 56 grams means steel, and you're looking at old stock. The bezel color should read as muted cocoa brown, not yellowish or glossy. And if the caseback is open, check for the black-coated balance wheel and functional gears — if you see glued-on plates with non-spinning jewels, it's a decorated 2824.
