The dial. Ombré green gradient. Bright emerald at the center fading to deep near-black green at the perimeter. The gradient is smooth without banding. In direct light the center glows green. In shadow the dial darkens and the outer edge blends into the case. The applied baton indices are white gold plated with Chromalight fill that glows blue in the dark. The date at 3 sits under the cyclops lens. The hands are the standard Datejust baton style. The green gradient is the focal point. VSF matched the color transition correctly.
The bezel. Fluted, white gold plated. The fluted bezel is the defining Datejust feature. The angled facets catch light from any source and produce a ring of reflections that is visible across a room. VSF's bezel has the correct number of facets and the white gold plating gives it a cooler tone than the steel case.
The case. 36mm in 904L steel. The 36mm Datejust is the classic size. It wears smaller than the 40mm Day-Date and the 41mm Datejust. On wrist it fits under a dress cuff and the proportions read traditional rather than oversized. The polished lugs and the fluted bezel frame the green dial.
