The Rolex Submariner Date 126610LV is the Starbucks. Rolex replaced the all-green Hulk with this in 2020. Black dial, green ceramic bezel. The green is more muted than the Hulk's emerald and shifts toward olive in lower light. The 41mm case with the slimmer lugs wears better than the old maxi case 40mm. VSF's version is the one to get, same as their black Submariner, and the Dandong 3235 movement with the 72-hour power reserve is the main reason. VSF Watch Factory matched the green bezel tone and got the case proportions right.

The green bezel. The green on the 126610LV is different from the Hulk's 116610LV. The Hulk was bright emerald. The Starbucks is darker and more subdued. In direct sunlight it reads as a deep forest green. Indoors it shifts toward olive and in low light it can pass for black. The ceramic insert has platinum PVD-filled numerals that stay bright silver and will not fade or discolor with wear. The bezel action is firm with crisp, precise clicks. No backplay. The luminous pip at 12 is centered. VSF matched the green correctly. Cheaper versions get the color too bright or too washed out.
The dial. Glossy black with applied Chromalight indices and the Mercedes hands. Same dial as the black Submariner 126610LN. The black dial with the green bezel is a more versatile combination than the Hulk's all-green dial because the black grounds the watch. The lume glows blue in the dark. The date at 3 sits under the cyclops lens. VSF's crystal has the black hole effect on the date window. The AR coating under the cyclops makes the date numeral appear to float above a deep black circle.
The case. 41mm in 904L steel. This generation slimmed the lugs and widened the bracelet at the lugs to 21mm. The old maxi case on the 116610 wore square. The 126610 wears more like the five-digit Submariners with the ceramic upgrade. The case finishing is brushed on the lugs and bracelet with polished bevels along the edges. The Triplock crown has crown guards and screws down. VSF's case dimensions and lug geometry match gen.
The movement. Dandong 3235 automatic with a 72-hour power reserve. This is the movement that separates VSF from every other factory making Submariner reps. It is not a modified 3135 or a decorated off-the-shelf caliber. It is built as a 3235 from the ground up. Three days off the wrist without stopping. The date flips instantaneously at midnight. The winding feel is smooth and the crown positions engage correctly. The 3235 has a blue hairspring and the correct shock absorber layout.
The bracelet. 904L steel Oyster with a brushed finish and polished link edges. The Glidelock clasp gives roughly 20mm of tool-free adjustment. The Glidelock mechanism slides smoothly and locks in place. The bracelet is comfortable and the articulation is fluid. The all-brushed finish hides daily wear better than the polished center link bracelets on the Yacht-Master or Datejust.
