The Rolex Yacht-Master 40 126655 is the rose gold Yacht-Master on the Oysterflex strap. Rolex replaced the metal bracelet with a rubber strap that has a titanium-nickel blade inside for structure. The matte black ceramic bezel with polished raised numerals is the same design language as the steel Yacht-Masters, but the rose gold case and the black Oysterflex strap give it a different weight and feel. It is the most comfortable Yacht-Master to wear daily. VSF Watch got the Everose plating, the ceramic bezel, and the movement right.

The gold. Everose rose gold plating on the case, crown, and Oysterlock clasp. Everose is Rolex's proprietary rose gold alloy. It has a warmer, redder undertone than standard rose gold and it holds its color over time because Rolex added platinum to the mix to slow the fading. VSF matched the Everose tone correctly. The plating is even across the case and the clasp. The rose gold case against the matte black bezel and the black Oysterflex strap is a two-tone look without the two-tone bracelet.

The bezel. Matte black Cerachrom ceramic with polished raised numerals. The numerals sit above the sandblasted ceramic background and catch light from every angle. Bidirectional rotation with smooth, precise clicks. The matte black ceramic against the polished rose gold case is the strongest visual contrast on the watch. Ceramic means the bezel will not scratch or fade. VSF got the ceramic finish and the numeral polish right.

The dial. Matte black with rose gold-trimmed Chromalight indices and hands. The rose gold trim on the markers ties the dial to the case without being the same tone. The Mercedes hands have Chromalight fill that glows blue in the dark. The "YACHT-MASTER" text is printed in red. The date at 3 sits under the cyclops lens. The dial has the modern Rolex coronet between "SWISS" and "MADE" at 6, which is correct for the 126655 generation. VSF's dial print and lume application are clean.

The case. 40mm in rose gold plated 904L steel. The Yacht-Master case has more curved, ergonomic lugs than the Submariner. It wraps the wrist tighter and wears slimmer. The Triplock crown has crown guards and screws down. The case finishing mixes polished and brushed surfaces. VSF got the case geometry and the plating coverage right.

The movement. Dandong 3235 automatic with a 72-hour power reserve. Three days off the wrist without stopping. The movement has the correct blue hairspring and shock absorber layout. The date flips instantaneously at midnight. Winding is smooth. VSF's 3235 replaced the older 3135 in the current Yacht-Master generation.

The strap. Black Oysterflex elastomer with a titanium-nickel blade inside for structure. It wears like rubber but holds its shape like a bracelet. The underside has a longitudinal cushion system that creates air channels between the strap and your wrist. It is more comfortable in heat and humidity than a metal bracelet. The clasp is the Oysterlock with an Easylink extension, plated in rose gold to match the case. The Glidelock is not included on the Oysterflex models. Strap changes are possible but the Oysterflex is the correct pairing for this reference.
