The Omega Constellation 123.20.38.21.52.001 is the two-tone version with the silver diamond dial. Steel case with red gold PVD plating on the bezel, claws, crown, and bracelet hinge links. The two-tone finish. Red gold PVD plating on the bezel, the claws, the crown, and the hinge links of the bracelet. The case body and the main bracelet links are steel. The two-tone split is deliberate. Gold where the eye lands. Steel where the watch makes contact with surfaces. The red gold tone is warm with a reddish undertone. VSF matched the hue correctly and the plating is even across all the gold components.
The dial. Silver sunburst with diamond hour markers. The diamonds are set in red gold-plated holders that match the bezel and claws. The faceted dauphine hands are gold-plated to match. The applied Constellation star at 6 is gold-plated. The date at 3 has a gold surround. The dial is brighter than the black sunburst version and reads larger visually. The diamonds catch light more aggressively than applied faceted indices. This is a dress watch dial in the most literal sense. VSF got the silver tone and the diamond settings right.
The case. 38mm in 316L steel. Same barrel-shaped Constellation case with the half-moon facets at the top and bottom. The polished claws grip the bezel at 3 and 9. The bezel is red gold plated with engraved Roman numerals. The crown is red gold plated. At 38mm and 12.5mm thick, the case wears compact and slides under a dress cuff without resistance. VSF's finishing transitions between steel and gold surfaces are clean.
The movement. Dandong 8500 automatic with the independent jumping hour hand. Same movement as the steel Constellation. The hour hand jumps in one-hour clicks for time zone changes without stopping the running seconds. The date is linked to the hour hand. The exhibition caseback shows the decorated movement. Winding is smooth and the date change is clean.
The bracelet. Integrated two-tone with horizontal steel links and polished red gold hinge links. The two-tone pattern alternates with every link row. The butterfly clasp opens with a push-button release and has a raised gold-plated Omega logo. The bracelet is comfortable and the articulation is smooth. The two-tone bracelet is more visually assertive than the all-steel version and pairs with the gold bezel and gold hands to create a unified look. No strap changes possible without custom curved ends due to the integrated case design.
