The PAM00438 "Tuttonero" is Panerai's full-ceramic GMT — case and bracelet both in matte black ceramic, with a full-Arabic sandwich dial, vintage beige lume, and a blackened movement to match. VSF Watch version runs the Dandong P.9001/B with true GMT and independent jumping hour hand functionality.

Full ceramic case and bracelet
The PAM00438 takes the ceramic case from the PAM00441 and adds a full ceramic bracelet — no leather, no rubber, all ceramic from end to end. The material is virtually scratch-proof and won't fade under UV exposure. VSF's bracelet links articulate smoothly without binding, which is harder to pull off in ceramic than steel because ceramic is brittle during machining and can crack if tolerances are too tight. The clasp is DLC-coated titanium with a hidden butterfly deployment.
Movement: Dandong P.9001/B
The "B" stands for blackened. The gen P.9001/B movement has dark bridges and a blackened rotor to match the Tuttonero's all-black aesthetic, visible through the sapphire caseback. VSF replicated this finish — the movement reads as dark and cohesive rather than having bright silver bridges that would kill the stealth look.
The balance wheel sits at 7 o'clock, matching the gen caliber layout. The movement has two functional complications: a central GMT hand for tracking a second time zone, and an independent jumping hour hand that adjusts the local time in one-hour increments without stopping the minutes or seconds. This is full true GMT functionality, not a slaved 24-hour hand.
Dial: full Arabic sandwich
Most Luminor dials use Arabic numerals only at 12, 6, and 9. The PAM00438 uses a full-Arabic layout — every hour marked with a numeral cut into the sandwich dial. The vintage beige Super-LumiNova glows through the cut-outs from beneath. "CERAMICA" is printed at 6 o'clock, matching the gen dial text specific to this reference. The date sits at 3, and the small seconds register is at 9.
Things to check in QC
Verify the bracelet links articulate smoothly with no grinding — ceramic-on-ceramic friction should be silent. Check the movement through the caseback: bridges and rotor should be blackened, not silver, and the balance wheel should be at 7 o'clock. The sandwich dial cut-outs should have clean edges with no chipping around the numerals. The GMT hand should adjust independently from the local hour hand in one-hour jumps.
